Deltaray is a fast-growing Belgian company based in Houthalen. Founded in 2019, Deltaray has been inundated with requests since debuting its innovative and patented quality control technology. ‘Dillen Technologies absolutely contributed to our success,’ says Deltaray CEO, Dirk Hamelinck.
With a new investment of 4.3 million euros, Deltaray is on the verge of launching this innovative technology on the international market. Director Dirk Hamelinck explains the company's unique approach to quality control. ‘Many sectors demand high-quality products with zero margin for error,’ he says. ‘The medical and automotive industries are good examples of this. These sectors want to avoid reputational damage and product recalls at all costs, but the problem is that you sometimes need to see inside these products as well. What happens if you can’t open them up to have a look? Deltaray developed a unique technology that uses an automated machine to perform a 3D inspection of these products.’
AI expertise
This is where Dillen Technologies came in. ‘Given how advanced and technically complex the inspection machines are, we wanted a reliable partner with extensive AI experience. Dillen assessed the Microsoft framework of the machines and their programming. The team helped us create an independent operating system within the machines that was not cloud-dependent. This software allows us to properly maintain all functionalities.’
