Document automation

Automatically extract the desired data from different types of documents with self-learning technology and save resources.

Document automation in a nutshell

Using document automation we extract any desired data from paper invoices and contracts, as well as Excel files or digital communication such as websites or e-mails. It is then verified on the basis of predefined rules and, if necessary, a minimal human intervention. After verification, the data is exported to a subsequent process, a desired program or database.

The document automation process consists of four steps

Import

Import

Import documents from any source

e.g. invoices, Word files, written documents, websites, e-mails, ...

Processing

Processing

Automatic information recognition regardless of the document structure

Classify

Classify

Identify the type of document

Extract

Extract

Detect the data needed from the document (e.g. id number)

Optimisation

Optimisation

Processing optimisation thanks to machine learning – less human interaction is required over the course of time

Verification

Verification

A combination of automated and manual verification to cover 100% of all information

Aided by predefined business rules (e.g. invoice date cannot be in the future)

Export

Export

Export documents to any destination including custom databases and workflows

Artificial intelligence as a driving force

Artificial intelligence as a driving force

Data recognition and extraction powered by artificial intelligence is based on three complementary techniques.

Computer Vision is used for the visual recognition of documents, textual analysis for identifying specific textual elements or sentences and Natural Language Programming to efficiently convert the content to workable data.
